In conclusion, I would recommend this book to most people, with the exception of those who don't process information as they read it (basically, need a little time to think it over). Lastly, the lack of a timeline influenced how I understood the explorer's decisions. The heading also made the book easier to process, but something that set me back was when the author introduced information too early. I was also glad that this book gave a different view of explorers I did and didn't know much about, although there could have been slightly more detail. Despite this, I thought the maps were complicated and I couldn't really just glance over them, I had to examine some before I could understand the route. I especially liked the maps used to show routes, and the "report cards" and "pop quizzes" made the book seem relaxed and more kid-friendly. Tom Thumb: The Remarkable True Story of a Man in M.I really enjoyed reading this book because it was funny but managed to sum up explorations without seeming tedious.
